Our Favorite Beaches for Your Summer Vacation!

21

When you are visiting the Gulf Coast, our public beaches are not one size fits all. There are beaches for swimming, beaches for socializing, and beaches with a more quiet feel. When you’re ready to explore a new shore, these beaches offer something for everyone.

1. Gulf Shores Main Public Beach

If you're looking for volleyball-playing, beach-bar-hanging good times, this brand-new spot in Gulf Shores - where Highway 59 dead-ends into the Gulf - is for you. For a small fee, you get all-day, up-close parking, making it easy to unload your gear. Beach attendants, three open-air pavilions and a picnic area are available. This is a popular spot for locals and tourists, so you may want to arrive early to get a prime parking spot.

2. Gulf Shores State Park Pier

This long, wide pier with scenic beach & gulf views is a popular place for fishing and relaxing by the water. With free parking and right next door to the brand-new Gulf State Park Lodge, this is a beautiful spot to relax all day with your toes in the sand.

3. The Gulf State Park Pavilion Area

The Gulf State Park Pavilion Area is located six miles east of Highway 59 and offers air-conditioned restrooms, private showers, a snack bar, shady spots to sit and eat, plus a huge fireplace for chilly days. This is a great spot to bring the whole family for a day on the water!

4. Cotton Bayou

Cotton Bayou is located at the intersection of Highway 182 and 161 near the Publix Shopping Center in Orange Beach and features restrooms and showers on site. Parking is free for a day of fun right across the road from some of Orange Beach's favorite dining spots for lunch.

5. Alabama Point

A local's favorite, Alabama Point, is located 0.3 miles east of Perdido Pass Bridge and offers 6,000 feet of wide beach, sand dunes, boardwalks, picnic areas, restrooms, and outdoor showers. Hang out all day and take in one of the most beautiful sunset views in all the island.

6. Perdido Key State Park

Just a short drive east of Orange Beach, Perdido Key State Park is a 290-acre Florida State Park located on a barrier island fifteen miles southwest of Pensacola, Florida.

Now what are you waiting for?! It's time to get to the Gulf and soak up the summer sun on one of our beautiful beaches! Book your stay with us today.
